ABOUT THE FARM
The home was built in 1907 and has character and stories around every corner. Same with the outside! We have 50-year-old forsythia bushes lining our driveway for over 60 feet that bloom the most vibrant yellow at the first signs of spring. Enormous blueberry bushes flank our farm and provide us with unlimited fresh berries during the summer, Asher, our Chocolate Lab’s favorite treat. To top it off, decade-old peony bushes can be seen from our front porch and were apparently planted as a sympathy gift when one of the original owners’ moms passed away. These plants inspire us, proving that your legacy can live on in even the simplest of ways.
Edgewood was the name given to the house over a century ago so it only felt right to keep the name alive as a way to honor its history and the generations who have previously lived here.

POWHATAN, VIRGINIA
& about our growing techniques
Powhatan is about 45 minutes outside of Richmond and has the most charming small-town community feel. Our property is nestled just west of 'downtown' (you’d laugh at me for even calling it a downtown if you saw it). Currently, we farm about half an acre of cut flowers and grow vegetables for our own consumption, but we have big plans to expand soon by adding more beds, a greenhouse, and hoop houses for season extension. We practice regenerative agriculture and use organic growing methods, meaning we don’t till the soil and prioritize soil health.

ABOUT US
We’re homebodies, old souls, and completely content spending our weekends digging in the dirt and baking homemade bread.
In 2019, when we were living over 900 miles apart, a dream was forming in each of us to own a farm. Now, we’ve been married for four years and ever since have had an abundant garden. We don’t have an agricultural background, but we both gain satisfaction from seeing a plant go from seed to harvest. In 2023, we found our dream home on 12 acres. We feel the most alive when we’re working and creating with our hands.
Vincent is the lead farmer, a hunter who’s passionate about sustainability, and probably the only CPA you’ll find who’d rather be wearing Carhartt overalls with his hands in the dirt.
Rachel is a dreamer, creative by nature, and a lover of travel. She started working with florals five years ago and soon discovered they are the perfect medium because they set the perfectionism in her free.
